Nanako-ishi ( 魚々子石 )

Nanako-ishi ( 魚々子石 ) in Japan

It seems that they tend to concentrate on some beaches, Nanako-ishi is found from seashore of Tsugaru Peninsula which is a peninsula in Aomori Prefecture, at the northern end of Honshu island and Shimokita Peninsula which is the remote northeastern cape of the Honshu island, stretching out towards Hokkaido.

Roughly speaking, Tsugaru Peninsula is left side and Shimokita Peninsula is right side peninsula at the northern end of Honshu in Japan.

Nanako-ishi is jasper which has small dots patterns on surface with resembling fish eggs.

Although Nanako is women's name in Japan, Nanako in Nanako-ishi comes from the meaning of fish eggs as "Nana" is Fish and "Ko" is eggs.

Although its name is from fish eggs, it looks like silver pepper of the stars for the one which has plenty silica.

It looks like twinkle stars in the galaxy.

So, it is very beautiful.

Following Kamon-seki and Shikanoko-ishi, Nanako-ishi is also popular as Tsugaru Nishiki-ishi.
